And there you can see ‘Mute Group for….
Just tap on the time period that you want to Mute, like I tapped on ‘1 Year’

Doing that will only opt-out from ringtone.
You can also opt-out from showing notifications as well by just unselect ‘Show Notification’ option. That will not allow WhatsApp to show messages in the notification bar of your smartphone. That’s it, all done.
