Like if you are on a cellular network and the some app got an update and downloaded, the chances are your 2G or 3G internet data will dry soon. Some peoples do not download anything on 2G or 3G network manually. But some features in Android phone or tablets happens automatically and until you stop them, they have done a lot affect to your pocket.  


Feature like auto update of apps is good for your phone or tablet. It’s always recommended that you always use latest software or hardware to enhance your productivity. But sometimes things are not in favour. Sometimes you are in limitations, limitations that bounded by cellular network providers that they don’t provide enough internet data that you can afford. So always relies on Wi-Fi to download huge files. Updates of apps in android phones or tablet are also huge files; one should always download them on Wi-Fi. But a country like India Wi-Fi is eye candy. So best thing is you should disable the automatic download features.

To disable the auto update feature of apps in Google Play Store. Follow the steps

Go to Google Play Store

Pull out left sidebar or menu option and Go to Settings

Tap on second option that is Auto-update apps,

There are three options, Just select the Do not auto-update apps

That’s it, Android apps will no longer update automatically on your android phone or tablet.

The other two options are auto-update apps at any time and Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only.

If you select Auto-update apps at any time, then apps will get updates instantly, means whether you are on cellular network (means 2G/3G network) or on Wi-Fi, the latest update for app will be downloaded on your phone immediately.

The second option is Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only. Means you will not get update on the cellular network. The update will be downloaded on Wi-Fi connection only. So choose the option carefully.
